Mission Statement

BEAUTYBOIZ CULTIVATES AND ELEVATES LGBTQIA+ AND QTBIPOC VOICES AND

PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE FOR

QUEER, BIPOC, AND ALLY AUDIENCEs

TO GATHER TOGETHER AND EXPRESS THEIR UNIQUE CREATIVITY AND BEAUTY.

BeautyBoiz builds community by creating a welcoming space for everyone in the LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC spectrum. We give back to the community we serve by hiring and paying local queer artists and providing accessible tickets to anyone with need. We provide event and media production skills training to collective members, increasing the capacity of queer people to share our own stories. In addition, we highlight emerging queer artists with free and subsidized media support, including filming and production.

About BeautyBoiz

BeautyBoiz is a collective of queer producers based in Seattle creating live events and media by and for the LGBTQ+ community. We are a nonprofit company of storytellers from communities overlooked in the media. Our collective places an emphasis on elevating those traditionally left out of mainstream gay culture, sharing knowledge to increase equitable opportunities for QTBIPOC artists, and shifting the media paradigm towards radical inclusion. We produce extravagant live and virtual events, and media including music videos, editorial photo shoots, and more.

Guided by our founding principles of inclusion, we found that artists drawn to work with us were natural disruptors to the status quo, and our events quickly became an alternative to club venues and created a new kind of safe space. The mainstream gay options are often limiting to those living a queer existence, and BeautyBoiz is designed as a place where everyone fits in.

In 2017, Fred Wildlife Refuge became home to the BeautyBoiz, hosting a 3+ year residency of live events until its closure in March of 2020. In addition, the collective produced events at Kremwerk, Southgate Roller Rink,

Our History

BeautyBoiz started as an idea among friends for an apartment Halloween party in 2015, a party that would blend different communities of queers, theatre performers, and visual artists by opening five of the 12 apartments in the building. The turn out was wild - too many people for the space! The following year, the event moved to a larger venue at Fred Wildlife Refuge, and the BeautyBoiz brand was officially birthed with a name designed to celebrate all forms of queer beauty and love. What started as a two person team between Kaleb Dameron and Wesley Frugé quickly grew to become an ever evolving collective of producers and content creators.

and partnered with Northwest Film Forum, PrideFest, Seattle Pride, Lifelong, and more to create unique entertainment that is a product of LGBTQ/BIPOC artistry and collaboration. Events include BeautyBoiz go BOO, QUEER AF, BeautyBoiz wear Masks, Red Dress Party and the iconic tribute parties to pop divas, to name a few. BeautyBoiz has worked on music video projects for CarLarans, Michete, and Alexis Mateo and has shot editorials with drag queens such as James Majesty, Cookie Couture, and many more.

BeautyBoiz began a permanent residency at and helped open the Supernova nightclub in 2021.
